Beyond your own diving

Develop your skills.

Learn to support others.

A different perspective on freediving.

After successful Wave 3 certification, you can act as an assistant instructor on Lap/Wave 1–2 courses, within Molchanovs standards and the supervising instructor’s direction.

Observe the teaching

Learn from how an instructor explains skills, demonstrates techniques and adapts to different students.

Support the session

Help with preparation and agreed practical tasks, within your training, abilities and assigned responsibilities.

Explore your next step

Develop communication, awareness and teamwork while considering whether instructor training is right for you.

Assistant opportunities at Ocean BX are agreed individually. Wave 3 certification does not qualify you to teach or certify students independently.

Entry & assessment

Performance, with control.

Certification brings knowledge, technique and safety together. Completing the scheduled days does not automatically complete the qualification.

Attention to

the whole dive.

Your instructor helps you recognize which part of a dive needs attention. That might mean revisiting preparation, reviewing an equalization pattern or repeating a movement with a clearer purpose.

Small groups leave room for discussion and individual feedback. Rest and adaptation are part of the process, with progression guided by your readiness.

Progress comes from the quality of your decisions as well as your technique.
